NEW!!!  Jingle Bell Walk/Run

We have a group of six, so far, to walk in the Jingle Bell Walk/Run, a terrifically fun event where some people dress up in holiday clothes, wear bells, reindeer horns, bring their dogs, kids, grandkids. It’s a 5K course, about the same as a walk around Green Lake. It’s really easy.

When: Sunday, December 14
Where: Westlake Center
What Time: For our group (the slowest--Santa Striders), we start at 9:10 am.

To Register
Benefits the Arthritis Foundation
$25.00 ($35 on the day of the event) You get a Tshirt!
Online (until December 8) www.seattlejinglebellrun.org
Mail (until December 5) PO Box 65850, Vancouver WA 98665-0029

Parking downtown being what it is, we’ll take the South Lake Union trolley. There’s a stop on Westlake Avenue, just north of Antique Liquidators at Westlake and Republican. There is plenty of free parking (Sundays) on Republican on either side of Westlake.

OOPS!
Trolley service on Sundays doesn’t start until 10 a.m. (Jingle Bell walkers leave Westlake Center at 9:10.) So here’s Plan B: Meet at the Paramount Theater at 8:30 a.m. We’ll walk from there to Westlake Center.

When we get to Westlake Center, we’ll decide where we’ll meet up after the walk. Everyone is welcome to join me for breakfast at the Ravenna Varsity restaurant when we’re done.

Organize an Adventure

If you’d like to organize an adventures, here’s what you need to do:
1. Define your adventure: date, time, place, etc.
2. Time the exercise to cover 30 minutes to an hour.
3. Figure out whether participants need to bring anything, dress in a certain way, leave their dogs at home, etc.
4. Write clear directions and a find an online map. We can help with the map.
5. Draft the text of your invitation.
